Migration histories and performance: reflections and findings A resource created as part of my Develop Your Creative Practice grant - Directing Diaspora

Thanks to the Develop Your Creative Practice grant I received from Arts Council England, I could carry out 3 mentorships spanning 3 months, were I worked with Jordan Alam on Diasporic Narratives, Monika Gravagno on Movement Directing, and Sean Kempton on the Role of the Director. My aim was to understand and explore ways to direct circus-theatre work about migration. During 4 days of R&D I took risks and trialled different approches, working with performers Alejandra Gissler and Hannah Finn.
